Never promise yourself that you won’t date – or marry – a coworker.

Jonathan and Lydia met at work, both telling themselves that they would never date someone there. But as life goes, they both happened to join the same DnD group and had a great time getting to know one another outside of the office. Lydia, being the only girl in the group, told herself, “I’m not going to let any of these guys hit on me.” Jon simultaneously was thinking, “I’m not going to let any of these guys hit on her.”

The rest, they say, is history.

Jon and Lydia’s wedding was tucked away on beautiful farm of Landfall Lodge. While there was a massive storm the day before their wedding, I do have to say that Virginia still put on a splendid fall showing! Saturday morning dawned bright and sunny – the perfect day for a crisp, autumn wedding. So amidst the falling leaves, thistles, and golden sunshine, Jon and Lydia became man and wife, pledging to have and to hold for the rest of their lives.

And all was right in the world.

Congratulations Jon and Lydia! Enjoy the highlights from your day!

The Groom

On to the First Look!

That. Smile.

Wedding party time!

A few bridal portraits before we dashed off to the ceremony! Isn’t Lydia absolutely breathtaking?

THEY’RE MARRIED!!

After the ceremony and family photos, we headed back to the Lodge and grabbed a few more couple photos in the soft, golden glow. Honestly, when I was looking through these photos again, I completely forgot how COLD it was because these two absolutely rocked their portraits!

Once we finished the couple photos, we dashed inside to warm up our fingers and get the reception started!

Then came the toasts by the best man and matron of honor

After the toasts, it was time to open the dance floors for the rest of the evening!

Bouquet toss!

Cake time! Along with the *gorgeous* cake, one of Jon’s grandmothers created a traditional Norwegian cake that was melt-in-your-mouth amazing.

After hours of dancing, visiting, and celebration, it was time to watch the newlyweds depart with a sparkler send off!

Congratulations again, you two! God bless you both.
