It’s crazy how fast time flies! It feels like just yesterday that I was welcoming Georgia into the wing as her RA, getting her situated and talking about all sorts of random things. I never would have guessed that just four years later, I would have the honor of photographing her wedding day.
The morning of the wedding dawned bright and sunny without a hint of rain in the forecast. Our drive out to Wardensville, West Virginia was one of my favorite travel experiences to date. There’s nothing quite like driving through the western Virginia mountains as the sun rises and warms the earth. The picturesque experience didn’t end with the drive either. All of the locations we visited throughout the day were breathtaking—the farmhouse, the church, and the reception barn were all lovely and a delight to capture.
The bride and groom said “I Do” at St Peter Lutheran Church, and soon we were dancing the day away at Capon Crossing Farm right down the road. I can still taste the amazing food wedding cake the groom baked himself (I was blown away by his skills) and hear the lively music for dancing. Chris and Georgia, thank you so much for letting me a part of your day! And congratulations again on your marriage!!
Enjoy the highlights from your wedding day!
The father of the groom had an AMAZING vintage truck and I couldn’t stop taking pictures of it throughout the day!
After everyone had gotten ready, we drove a short distance to the farm for the first look!
Then we headed to the church for a few more photos and the ceremony!
And they were MARRIED!!!
Georgia, her brother, and her two lovely ladies were so much fun to work with!
While we were enjoying photo time outside, Chris was placing the finishing touches on his amazing (and mouth-watering) cake
Reception time!
Father and mother of the bride, the bride and groom, and the father and mother of the groom – one of my favorite “group” shots ever!
All too soon, it was time to wish them well as they left to start the rest of their lives together!
Congratulations again, Chris and Georgia! God bless you two.
