With all the weddings that I’ve been focused on this year, it’s been a while since I’ve been able to tour the grounds of Morven Park. I knew that I needed to scout the area before my upcoming Morven Park October Mini Sessions Day, so I texted Rachel and asked if she would be willing to pose for me and she enthusiastically agreed! We kept our eye on the weather the rest of the week, and thankfully it decided to cooperate with us. The rain clouds that have been plaguing Northern Virginia parted right at the end of our shoot, giving us plenty of gorgeous light to play with at the end.

We were heading back to the car when I saw clouds break and hit the distant fields with a lovely, golden glow. I turned to Rachel and asked, “Would you be willing to chase the sunlight with me?” to which she replied, “uh, YES!” So we ran through the mud and grass to capture THESE:
Anyone who knows Rachel knows that she is really just a cat in human form. So I asked her to be a cat and….
Her eyes amaze me.
Thanks again Rachel for a great afternoon! #TheHobbyLobbyChallenge is next. 😉
